In celebration of ALLA’s arrival on the Uptown route, the Ladies of ALLA developed the decorated genie lamp as ALLA’s signature throw. The genie lamp calls back to ALLA’s history of Maharajas and Maharanis reigning over the parade as we rolled triumphantly along the streets of Algiers, La. where the Krewe was founded in 1932.

​Now, each member of ALLA is encouraged to decorate their own unique genie lamps and to bring a limited number to be handed out during the parade!
