Float Loading: Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 10AM - 5pm at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Parking Lot G.

Parade Day: Sunday, February 24, 2019:
Post Parade: The floats and riders will be escorted back to Lot J. Please remain on the float until it comes to a complete stop and you are given the all clear to disembark by your float lieutenant.
IMPORTANT: Every rider MUST wear their complete costume, mask, and harness for the duration of the parade. Please do not alter your costume or mask in any way. Baseball caps or any other hat other than the approved head gear is prohibited. A lost or misplaced costume or harness will have to be replaced at the rider's expense. The costs will be as follows: $5 per mask, $20 per harness, $50 per costume.
The harness should fit snugly around your midsection and be secured with an eye bolt behind your position on the float. ANY RIDER WHO REFUSES TO WEAR THE HARNESS OR IS SEEN WITHOUT THE HARNESS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE FLOAT. At the conclusion of the parade, your harness is yours to keep for use in future years.
Please refrain from throwing anything from the float until the parade actually begins at the intersection of Napoleon and Magazine; likewise, please refrain from throwing anything from the float after the parade ends at the disbanding point on Poydras and Tchoupitoulas. Any rider caught throwing past the disband point will be removed from their float by NOPD.
Following these simple rules will ensure that we all have a safe and enjoyable ride.

- Due to the ongoing construction on Convention Center Blvd., there is only one point of entry and exit for vehicles from Tchoupitoulas this year. An ALLA Board member will be stationed at the entry gate to assist with any potential traffic issues. Please be patient!
- All throws must be in bags. Boxes are prohibited.
- Please load any and all large throw items, bags, ice chests, etc on float loading day. Items that are not small enough to fit in your lap will NOT be allowed on the shuttles on parade day.
- DJ's will be able to load their equipment on float loading day. Security will be present overnight.
Parade Day: Sunday, February 24, 2019:
- Parking is available near the Convention Center in Parking Lot J, which is directly in front of Mardi Gras World. The cost is $5 per car if you present your wristband when parking.
- The floats and Lot G will be accessible from 7:00AM-8:30AM for food and ice deliveries ONLY and once these items are loaded, you must vacate the lot.
- Please remember there are 3 other parades leaving from the same area on Sunday, and construction on and around Convention Center Boulevard will only exacerbate the traffic issues we normally experience during Carnival season. Please plan accordingly.
- 2 shuttles will be bringing riders from Lot J to Port Orleans starting at 9:30am until 12:00pm, with NOPD escorting two shuttle runs at 9:30am & again at approximately 10:15am. The earlier the shuttle, the less likely you will get caught in traffic!
- Our floats will begin departing the Convention Center en route to Port Orleans at approximately 10:00am and will be staged on Tchoupitoulas Street outside of the Brewery.
- At approximately 11:00am, we will all come together inside Port Orleans to toast to a fantastic ride!
- If you choose to bypass the shuttles, please be at Port Orleans Brewery no later than Noon. Outside food or drinks will be prohibited while at Port Orleans.
- We will begin boarding the floats at approximately 1:30PM for a 2:30PM departure time.
- ***If you do not board your float at Port Orleans, you will not be allowed to ride in the parade***
